Introducing The Fabulous AURA:
I am very happy to present this unique artist in Europe, and hope that these
few notes will give you an idea of Aura's great talent. Aura Urziceanu was born
in 1946. Early in her life, everything was music. Her father was a teacher at
the school of music in Bucharest. When she was only five years old, she learned
already to play the violin. Later she took singing lessons and after a few years,
she was on her way to becoming a professional singer. It was while on tour in
Cananada that she met Ron Rully, to whom she is married now. From that moment,
Ron took charge of all promotion and appearances of Aura. She became very busy
with her singing, interviews and tours. There were also the numerous rehearsals.
This strenuous activity finaly made her lose her voice, and it was only two
weeks before her participation in the Knokke festival of 1971, that she came
out of the hospital. She obtained the Prize of the Press, altough the Rumaniam
team was also running first that year. After this festival, she received many
offers to appear with leading bands, among them that of Duke Ellington. She
became a well known singer.
After listening to this superg LP record, I am certain that you will like her
as much as and I do. We are sure that Aura will become as big as Sarah Vaughan,
Ella Fitzgerald and many other great artists.
